OK, I’m getting behind
That title summarises my life really. I have had way too much homework, coursework and sleep recently, resulting in a lack of additions to this blog. I am also trying to write the first tutorial and other information for this site. Hopefully you will bear with me, but here are a few lists of facts that I felt were appropriate.
The Gunpowder Plotters
Contrary to very popular belief, the plot was not Guy Fawkes’, and contrary to slightly less popular belief, there were more than 5 plotters…

- Thomas Wintour
- Thomas Percy
- Thomas Bates
- Christopher Wright
- Robert Wintour
- John Grant
- John Wright
- Robert Keyes
- Ambrose Rookwood
- Sir Everard Digby
- Francis Tresham
Each of these people played their part in the plot, some more than others. The whole plot is far too much to cover in one blog entry, although it would look quite impressive. There was also an experiment carried out recently at a military test base where a full size House Of Lords was built and blown up sucessfully, showing that the plotters, if not caught, would have killed the king.
I would also like to mention that today is in fact NOT the 400th anniversary of the plot. Fawkes was captured before midnight on the 4th November.
