Hello Again!
I am back now, and I have plenty of free time to write more time wasting random information for you all! I have got one exam left (OCR Graphics on Friday) but other than that I have nothing else to do with school now until my A Levels
To celebrate I got myself a new laptop and now I just need to get a network up and running.
Anyway, I thought I would come back with a list of facts. With today being Monday, here are some Monday facts:
- “Monday’s child is fair of face” (Supposedly…)
- Garfield hates Mondays, even though he is unemployed.
- It’s name is taken from the Moon.
- Acording to all Unions, Monday is the first day of the week. Supposedly it makes them get paid earlier
- Monday is generally seen as the day of misfortune, not Friday.
- Monday is Montag in German (Moon day) and lundi in French (Latin for Moon).
- Black Monday occured on 19th October 1987 and caused the average share to drop over 500 points.
- The Russian for Monday is ponedelnik, literally meaning “after the do-nothing”.
- On Monday 5th December, the first witnesses appeared at Saddam Hussein’s trial.
- Monday, June 5th was the 25th anniversary of the first AIDS diagnosis.
There you go. Happy now?
