An Irishman and a Dutchman…

Two stories have caught my eye recently in the news. Firstly, an Irishman released for the weekend from a prison stole a car to make sure he could get back on time, after he missed the right stop on the bus. Secondly, a Dutchman has registered an identity card and driving licence with a photograph of The Joker from Batman on them, no questions asked. Well, it seems obvious what has happened here. A man, cunningly trying to escape jail and provide the government with a space for a new criminal, got a friend in the Netherlands to register for some fake ID. He was out at the weekend, collecting his fake details, and took the bus back to prison. The bus driver spotted that this guy was The Joker, and decided that the police should know. He drove straight past the prison and onto the police station. Noticing this, the Irish felon jumped from the bus and stole a car. Unfortunately the car was his Dutch mate’s.

I forget the rest of the sequence of events, but it ended with the use of eBay, a disposable camera and a military uprising against the Government of a small country in the South Pacific. This sort of thing happens all too often.

NEWSFLASH: The escape route has been found. The third annual rickshaw race in Mumbai provides the perfect cover story and escape route. So, if you see an Irishman in a purple suit, with a bright white face and a purple hat sat in a rickshaw with a confused looking Dutchman, then please, report it on +44 (0)118 999 881 999 119 725 3. They don’t mind how many calls they get.

Note: I am sorry this is not particularly good, but my sister is currently singing the hits (ha!) of Mariah Carey.
