Quiz Night

On Friday, a random collection of people (Joe, Dan, Luke, Freddie, Chris, Katie, Laura and myself) went to the annual quiz night at school. We all met at Tesco before the quiz, and amazingly the 3 of us who don’t live in Tring turned up on time. The others were at least 10 minutes late. Anyway, we fuelled ourselves with the best Tesco Value supplies and all donned our team shirts, featuring the mascot: a panda with a rifle.

When the quiz actually started, we didn’t do that well. We got 3 on the first round. At this point most of our efforts were therefore concentrated on annoying the Maths Department team on the next table. They beat us in all but one round: the music round. I thoink our major downfall was putting Ms Bailey as an answer to every question we didn’t know. We also started writing stupid comments on their answer sheets, but that did have a use: I now have one less question to do on my maths test :P

Perhaps we should have an improved strategy for next year, seeing as we finished second last with 69 points (ahead of the other sixth form team). Our other idea of being the only sober team left at the end of the night didn’t work either. Hiding an encyclopaedia or laptop inside our panda mascot might work…
